Cuesta Ridge”- 36 x 48 Oil with cold wax on wide wrapped canvas-My good friend Joy Wilkins, took a photo while hiking above the cuesta Ridge and posted it on facebook-The colors were cool tones early in the day and the expansive view begged me to capture it on a large scale! The thick impasto strokes with the pallet knife and wax give it a smooth velvety atmosphere.
